In lieu of advanced mechanic regulations (i.e. timing and stats-like aspects), FTB follows basic "use logic or we'll intervene" methods, or in other words: We follow T1. We do require cooldown/uptime and range, but that is about the only specifics we ask for number-wise. T1 is a traditional, common rule system for text-base role play fights. The rules are listed below. Please note that we are not strict on abilities, but if an issue of over-poweredness or something else arises, we reserve the right to make you change it. There are many versions of T1, so just use the one we have typed up. If we ever make changes or additions, we will post an announcement.

INTRODUCTION POST SHOULD STATE ENVIRONMENT.
- Please include things like your surroundings, the weather, etc. in your first post so that all role players are on the same page. Also, every thread participant's intro should include their appearance (clothing, etc.). Normal T1 rules dictate you need to state what's in your inventory, but you don't have to do that here. It is assumed everything in your profile inventory is already on your person. If you have a regular weapon not listed in your profile on you, you do need to state that however.

YOU POST IN TURNS.
- The posting turns should remain the same the entire thread. If it starts with Alex, John, Sarah, and Susan, it must stay in that order until the thread is up. You are allowed to place a posting time limit on the thread as long as it is mentioned clearly in the first post. This means that if someone doesn't post within the aforementioned time in the first post (i.e. 48 hours), that person may be skipped and s/he cannot post again until their next turn.

YOU CAN ONLY ATTEMPT ATTACKS.
- You cannot say something actually landed. That would be power playing, which is taking control over anything other than your character. Your opponent needs the chance to say whether the attack landed, or possibly was deflected/blocked/etc. You can only state your character's observations, thoughts, and actions. Nothing else.

IF YOU FORGET SOMETHING, TOO BAD.
- If you forgot to respond to an attack, that means it landed. If you forgot to mention that you jumped before you attacked, you never jumped. You are never allowed to edit your battle post after it has been posted, either.

GOD MODDING IS A NO-NO.
- Please respond realistically to damage given. We understand the science of adrenaline and how it may leave you able to push past some of the pain, but if we see that your character is responding inhumanly to damage, staff will be forced to intervene.

AMBIGUITY IS NOT A GOOD OPTION.
- Injecting your posts full of explicit detail is the best option. Opponents can easily take advantage of ambiguity, so please be wary of small posts. If an opponent attacks, you need to respond in full to that attack. Address everything that happened and what your character did about it.

INCOHERENT POSTS WILL BE YOUR DOWNFALL.
- Grammar and spelling etiquette is very important. Please avoid run-on sentences and confusing sentence structures. If your posts are borderline incoherent, we will give you a warning at first to fix it. If it continues, we will have to step in.

NEGATION AND HYPOTHETICAL.
- If an attack or action was interrupted, that negates everything that happened after it. Use logic when considering this. If you run at an opponent, jump, slash downward with a sword, roll to the side, and then try to attack from behind, but the opponent then says they shot a gun at you while you jumped after you ran, that negates everything else. This is why you should always use hypothetical situations in your post. If you had said "Should he have been attacked while he was running at the opponent, he would throw up his shield and roll to the side." Always set up multiple hypothetical actions so you are not left having everything negated. It is advised that you do not overload your post with default actions, however. You cannot spam six attacks, as your post does not even cover that long amount of time.

META-GAMING IS BAD.
- Meta-gaming means you are using OOC information for your character's advantage. For example, you as a role player know your opponent's abilities, name, etc., but if your character has never met the opponent or seen their abilities, they would have no knowledge of it. Meta-gaming will get you in trouble.
